2024 Volunteers
A swim team runs on volunteers – lots and lots of volunteers
Every swim team family contributes ten (10) hours for the first child registered, five (5) hours for the second child. So the max is 15 hrs per family but if you have 3 or more kids on the swim team, you’re going to be at the pool all the time anyway – sign up to help more!
Some swim team volunteer positions last all season. We try to fill those spots before the season starts so that the volunteers can really take ownership of the job and how it works.
However, season long commitments aren’t for everyone. Every week there are opportunities to be a marshal, a timer or runner or help in clerk of course. here are weekly Volunteer Sign Ups for swim meets Almost all these volunteer spots require no experience.

There are a few 2024 jobs we already know we need help with – volunteer now and get the job you want before the rush:
Photographers – We would like at least 2 more photographers to make sure we have pictures of all the kids
Monday night concessions – Order the pizza or chick fil a and organize the volunteers who sell concessions during Monday night meets. Our former Monday night concession person is now a Monday night rep so we are looking for a new volunteer. Good news is the former volunteer will train you!
Saturday lunch orderer – For home meets you send the order form, collect the venmos, place the order etc. For away meets you call ahead and find a local Arlington establishment that is willing to host a bunch of hungry kids who smell like chlorine. This is an amazing job for someone who wants to volunteer but needs the flexibility to do something on his/her own schedule. Good news is the former volunteer will train you!
Pasta dinner/ice cream social coordinator – We can split this job up but thought it might be fun for 2 people to sign up to work on both events together. The pasta dinner is part of the Friday pep rally, you work with us on a sign up genius, do some ordering, and organize the volunteers who set up, serve and clean up. Ice cream social coordinator goes to the ice cream social, makes sure the topping bowls are full and that kids don’t put their hands in the snacks.
