We are excited about the upcoming Overlee Dive Season!  Registration is open TODAY, March 24.  We hope that our team will continue to grow so, please feel free to share our WEBSITE with interested families.

 

Important Dates:

March 24:  Overlee Dive Team Registration OPENS

 

May 27:  Day 1 Competitive Dive Team Practice

 

May 31:  NVSL Table Worker (9:45am) & Judges Clinic (10:30am) at OVERLEE

 

June 1:  Day 1 Developmental Dive Team Practice

 

June 3:  NVSL Referee Clinic (6:30pm) at OVERLEE

 

June 21: Orange and White Meet (10am-noon) at Overlee

 

June 23:  1st Meet Competitive Dive Team OVL at Hayfield

 

June 25:  1st Meet Developmental Dive Team at Donaldson Run

 

July 24: End of Season Banquet and Awards (at OVERLEE)

We have been busy finalizing plans for this upcoming year and wanted to share with you some important updates and changes we have been making for this upcoming year.

 

First, we are excited that on May 31, Overlee will be hosting the NVSL table worker clinic (9:45am) and judges clinic (10:30am). We are also hosting an NVSL referee clinic on June 3 at 6:30 pm. We hope to see a few Overlee parents at these useful training sessions, as this is one of the best ways to get “on the job training”.  This is the absolute best way to learn how to perform these roles during the meet.  The benefit is that you get a front row seat to watch the divers.

 

Our schedule is fairly finalized for the summer and can be found HERE.  Please note we are working to begin our home meets up to an hour earlier (~5:30pm) so our oldest divers do not have to dive in the dark. Start times will be updated as we reach agreement with visiting teams.  Please pay attention to dates when we will not be able to have developmental practice due to conflicts with swim meets.  We plan to use TeamSnap again this summer so families can better manage the crazy schedule, especially as it relates to meets that may have to be continued or rescheduled due to weather.

 

Based on feedback, which we truly appreciate, we are planning more social events, kicking off with our 3rd annual preseason Taqueria Dive Team Dinner in early June, Parent Happy Hours (we need the weather to cooperate) and a fundraising event (Raffling off multiple Stocked Orange Yeti Coolers). After all, the past 2 years’ were a success! Stay tuned for dates, as we are finalizing these plans as well.

 

Volunteering is particularly important. Please note we expect all families to help with a minimum of 4 responsibilities throughout the season. Think about how you might want to be involved and keep an eye out for the 2026 Sign-up Genius coming in a few weeks.

 

Team suits will once again be available at Sport Fair or Dicks Sporting Goods (for the boys that want to wear Chubbys).  Team suits are NOT required but we know the kids love to wear them.  They can also wear their swim team suit if they would like.

 

Our team store with a variety of OVL DIVE SWAG will be sent out around Memorial Day weekend and we will coordinate to include all links for ordering in one email.
