Civic Association Yard Sale Saturday
We’d like to remind members that the Leeway Overlee Civic Association is holding its annual Yard Sale this Saturday on the John Marshall/Ohio Greenway from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
The event draws lots of neighbors and buyers so our surrounding streets will be extra busy. Please drive carefully when you come to Overlee. If you’d like to take part- read the information below or on the civic association website.
36th Annual Leeway Overlee Civic Association neighborhood yard sale and community day
About 100 families and other sellers set up tables and blankets each year along the Greenway between N. 23rd Street and Washington Boulevard. They recycle unneeded household items, clothes, toys, antiques, equipment and a host of other belongings — and buy from others selling. This event consolidates into one day a large number of family sales that otherwise would stretch over several months of the year. It’s an occasion for people to get out and meet their neighbors and perhaps pick up a needed item or bargain.
The civic association sponsors a musical combo during the event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
