Starting this fall, former OVL Head Coach Joan Mountain Elliott will be the Program Director for the free Learn-To-Swim Program called Future Saints Swim. It serves children ages 6 – 18 of low-income families in Arlington and Northern Virginia. The Clark Aquatic Foundation, a non-profit organization, and Marymount University’s Swim Team members sponsor the program. Any gently used swimsuits, swim bags, caps and goggles for the swimmers would be greatly appreciated. Bins for any donations will be placed at OVL’s front and back gate entrances. The program will run every Saturday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Marymount University’s pool, with the exception of some holidays. Anyone interested in volunteering as a swim instructor for the program can contact Joan at firstname.lastname@example.org, or at (703) 475-8755 with any questions. Thank you in advance for your support for this program that seeks to improve the lives of children through swimming.
