Member Update – July 10, 2025 

Note to All Overlee Members: On Sunday, July 13th, everyone is required to vacate the premises at 6:00 PM. All pools (including the Lap Pool), decks, volleyball court, grounds, and facilities close at 6:00pm. Kids/Teen Night begins at 6:30 PM.

Kids/Teen Night is Sunday, July 13th:  
Kids (ages 5 and older) and Teens rule the pool at Overlee on Sunday, July 13th beginning at 6:30 PM! We’ll have a DJ, pizza, drinks, and snacks!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – Parent volunteers/chaperones are needed to help (at no charge). If you are willing to help, please sign up here:

Each volunteer slot is an hour long; however you are welcome to sign up for multiple hourly slots if interested. Thanks for your help making this a great night for the kids!

Ice Cream Social and Synchro Show on Wednesday, July 16th: 

Everyone is invited for free ice cream (scooped by the Swim Team) and to watch the “Coachella @ Overlee” Synchro Show on Wednesday, July 16th (rain date: July 17).

Ice cream will be scooped from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM in Snack Shack Park.

At 8:00 PM, the “Coachella @ Overlee! Synchro Show will begin in the Lap Pool.

The show is FREE and open to the public.

Concession proceeds support the Overlee Synchro Team!

Reminder for Lap Swimmers:
Please be mindful of other lap swimmers in close proximity while using hand paddles, kick boards, fins and other training tools to ensure others aren’t accidentally hit with them.

Vote in the Board Election by Thursday, July 17th:  Click here for Candidate information and Official Ballot. Voting for Board members is by hard-copy ballot only.
Voting Procedures:

• One ballot per household. All ballots MUST be signed by an adult member of the member household.
• Completed ballots may be submitted in any of the following ways BUT NOT ELECTRONICALLY.

Ballots can be:

• Mailed to: Overlee Nominating Committee, P.O. Box 5346, Arlington, VA 22205;
  OR
• Dropped off in the box at the front desk;
  OR
• Brought to the membership meeting.

The ballots will be counted during the meeting and results will be announced prior to adjournment.

Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday, July 17th:  All members are encouraged to attend the annual General Membership Meeting on Thursday, July 17th in the clubhouse at 7:00pm. Come vote in the election of Board members, learn about the Administrative and Operational statuses, hear updates on activities, and ask any questions you may have.

All Overlee Challenge, 6:00 PM

Main Pool (including dive well) closing at 4:45; Lap Pool split for laps and general swimming beginning at 5:00 PM.  If the meet ends before 8:15 PM, the Main Pool may at the discretion of the Manager re-open 15 minutes after the meet ends and the Lap Pool may return to 6 lanes of lap swimming.

At 7 pm, main pool will re-open for lap swimming and lap pool will re-open for general swim.
At 9 pm, main pool and social pool close, lap pool resumes lap swimming until 10 pm.
