Member Update – June 19, 2025

Snow Cones, Popcorn & Movie Night this Sunday, June 22:

Temperatures are hitting mid-90s this Sunday. Cool off at OVL with Anita’s Frozen Cotton Candy from 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

Stay on for movie night, starting at dusk. It’s everyone’s favorite – Wicked!

And a movie night wouldn’t be complete without popcorn! Popcorn sales start at 7:00 PM!

Swim, Dive, and Synchro Teams Sock Hop – Wednesday, June 25 – 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM:
Kids on all three of the Overlee teams are welcome to attend an evening of dancing and games led by an amazing DJ! Kids will gather in the grassy area next to the club house, supervised by their team coaches and reps.
Parents with team kids who are 12 and under must stay on the pool grounds throughout the event.
IMPORTANT: If you have a young child who leaves the grassy area to go swim or play foosball, etc., it will be the parents’ responsibility to watch his/her child.

4th of July Volleyball Tournament:

Overlee is hosting its 16th Annual July 4th Volleyball Tournament on Thursday the 3rd and Friday the 4th with elimination on Friday. Sign up information for teams and those looking for a team can be found by clicking here.
Teams should be at least 5 members. There will be round robin group play to decide the teams which will play in a single elimination bracket. Round robin will be rally scoring to 25, and the tournament side-out to 21.

Board Seeking Nominees for New Directors: Under Overlee’s current Bylaws, the election of new members of the Board of Directors is held during the Summer Membership Meeting.  This year, the meeting will be on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 7:00pm.
We are seeking Association members who are interested in serving on the Board. Board members act as the governing body for the Association. A description of the Board’s roles and responsibilities can be found on the website in our Bylaws.
If you are interested in running, please send an email to the Nominating Committee at Board@overlee.org with a head shot photo and biography by Wednesday, June 25.
