Overlee’s July 4th Celebration and Teams’ Fundraiser:
Join us for our annual 4th of July celebration! Pool hours for the 4th of July are 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (lap pool open 6:00am – 9:00AM). All Overlee pools and facilities will close at 6:00pm on July 4th so staff can enjoy the holiday.
Schedule of Events:
- All Day: Volleyball Tournament (details below)
- 11:45 AM: Gather for the parade at the back gate. Bring your kids and their decorated bikes, scooters, strollers, wagons, whatever to come ride around the pool deck and show off their patriotic colors and spirit!
- 12:00 PM: PARADE! Whether you are a participant or viewer, don’t miss the fun!
- 12:20 PM: Start of Games – click here for details
- 12:45 PM: Dive Team Exhibition
From 12noon – 3:00 PM, Burger and Hotdog platters (with chips, drink, and dessert) will be for sale to raise funds for Overlee’s Dive, Swim and Synchro Teams. All grills at the pool will be unavailable from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Moon bounces will be in Snack Shack Park and staff will manage games and contests for the kids throughout the day, including the coin toss seek and find and the big splash contest!
4th of July Volleyball Tournament:
Overlee is hosting its 15th Annual July 4th Volleyball Tournament on Wednesday the 3rd and Thursday the 4th with elimination on Thursday. Sign up information for teams and those looking for a team can be found by clicking here.
Teams should be at least 5 members. There will be round robin group play to decide the teams which will play in a single elimination bracket. Round robin will be rally scoring to 25, and the tournament side-out to 21.

NOTE: The Volleyball court will be available for the kids to play during the 15-minute break times.
Pool Hours for Friday, June 30 – Sunday, July 7:
Volleyball, Upper Decks, Foosball, Ping Pong, Cornhole, Grassy Areas, etc. are open only when the Main/Social/Baby pools are open. Volleyball is open during developmental dive meets but closed during developmental swim meets.

All Pools: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM (except when used by teams as described below)
Lap Pool: 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM, 12 Noon – 3:30 PM, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Swim Team Practice: 7:00-10:00 AM (main pool daily), 10:00-11:00 AM (main pool shared daily), 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (lap pool daily )
Dive Team Practices: 10:00 AM -12:00 PM; 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Synchro Practices: 3:30-5:00 PM

Monday, July 1– Friday, July 5

Lap Pool: 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM, 12 Noon – 3:30 PM, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (M-F); 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM (M); 9:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Tues, Thurs) (lap swimming in main pool during dive meet)
July 4th hours: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM lap pool open; All pools open from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM **No team practices on July 4
Developmental Swim Meet (Monday, July 1, 6:00 PM): Main Pool (including dive well) closing at 4:45 PM; Lap Pool split for laps and general swimming beginning at 5:00 PM. If the meet ends prior to 8:15 PM, the Main Pool will re-open 15 minutes following meet ending and Lap Pool will return to 6 lanes of lap swimming.
Dive Competitive Meet (Tuesday, July 2, 5:30 PM) – dive well closed 3:30 PM until 15 mins after meet. At the 4:45 PM break, the Main pool will close. At 5:00 PM, the main pool will re-open for lap swimming and the Lap pool will re-open for general swim. General swim closes at 9:00 PM and lap swimming closes at 10 pm.
Swim Team Practice: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM (main pool M, T, W, F), 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM (main pool shared M, T, W, F), 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (lap pool M, T, W, F); 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM (lap pool T, W )
Dive Team Practices: 10:00 AM -12:00 PM (M, T, W, F dive well); 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM (M, T, W, F dive well)
Synchro Practices: 8:00 AM – 9:45 AM (T-W, dive well); 7:45 PM – 8:45 PM (Wed dive well); 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM (Fri, lap pool)
