New Weather Tool Trial – June 21, 2025

Good Afternoon Overlee,

As we get into the heart of the summer season, we are trying a new online weather platform being used by various clubs nationwide called Perry weather. In addition to other weather data, this system identifies lightning within 8 miles of Overlee and provides a 30-minute countdown from the last strike. It can be found on our website under “weather alerts” here: https://overlee.org/calendar-2/ovlweatherupdates/

This page will provide real-time information to all members around the clock. Managers on site will still have authority to override the system if needed to keep us all safe.  We welcome your feedback on this new tool – please send all comments and questions to the Board.
